What is the grade certificate?

This document accredits or certifies the grades we have obtained at the university, in a course, in secondary education. In addition, other information about the studies completed is also offered. Although the certificate format varies somewhat by university, the data is often very similar.

The parts that usually contain a grade certificate are:

1. Data of the student:  Name, surname and date of birth.
2. Information about the degree: Here we can find the designation of the degree, the title conferred, as well as the name and nature of the institution. It can be a public university, an institute, a company, a private school … and often the name includes this name.
3. Information about the level of the degree:  In many cases, we can find the level of the degree, the official duration of the program and the requirements for accessing it.
4. Information about the content and the results obtained: We will find sections such as: form of study, program data, grading system and average grade of the student . With a study form, it refers to whether it is face-to-face, blended or distance. The data of the program is the section where the title of the subjects studied is found and the grade obtained in them. It also usually specifies the academic year in which they have been approved and the credits of each of them. In the rating systemexplains in detail how it is scored. In Spain, for example, from zero to ten. It also explains from which grade it is considered approved, remarkable, outstanding and honor registration. Finally, we find the arithmetic mean of all the scores.

Other data of interest

Universities have also adapted to a world that has fewer and fewer borders. The classrooms, in addition to the exchange students, have students from other countries who simply want to get their degree there. Therefore, the grade certificate can be requested in a bilingual version (Spanish-English), which can help you save one more paperwork. However, at the moment the certificate is not issued in more languages.
