Requisitos para uma tradução certificada pelo USCIS

Requisitos para uma tradução certificada pelo USCIS

posted on Junho 16, 2020

The key to any translation is the accuracy and attention to detail with which it is carried out. Translation companies are all, from the point of view of those who work there, the best agencies out there. These claims make clients doubtful and make it difficult to make a decision.

Importance of a certified translation

Certifications are very important, as they are the material fact that authenticates the translation and certifies the person who performs it. And in certain procedures it is an essential requirement, especially when it comes to immigration processes.

The need for certification arises, for example, when immigration offices require a certificate certifying the accuracy of the translation of a specific document. This particular certificate is known as translation certification. This process is carried out by a special translator authorized for this purpose.

However, in the US, this service is known as a USCIS certified translation and is a requirement of immigration offices if you want to continue your immigration process to that country. Legislative courts have declared it a necessity for anyone who wants to enter and settle in the United States.

The need for certification and translation.

The need for this certification arises due to the numerous frauds that encompass the immigration process in relation to immigrants. Officials in that country are on duty to establish a platform where the security of the State can be preserved and therefore any type of protocol necessary to detect any non-compliance can be adopted. Immigration processes are, therefore, a complex process and cannot simply allow any foreigner to enter the country without ruling out any type of potential harm to the State and its citizens.

In many countries, certification is carried out by a special court, which grants authorization to the translator who is deemed suitable to carry out the specific work. Except in the United Kingdom, this system is predominant in many states. A legal body or some kind of authority authorizes the translator of special skills and determines the quality of their skills and judgment before granting them the special power to authenticate documents or the accuracy they must have. In Chile, certification is carried out by a Notary Public.

But how do you ensure that your document is certified and eligible to be submitted to the respective authority? There are a certain set of rules and requirements related to USCIS certified translation. You cannot simply submit a poorly translated or certified translation to the office and expect it to be accepted.

Accuracy is important

The format must be in accordance with that shown by the respective office and which is available on its website. It requires the translator to claim the authority with which he or she was empowered and to promise that everything he or she has indicated in the translation is absolutely accurate. In addition, the translator must fill out a form where he or she provides the necessary personal information attributed to his or her identity; name of birth, residential address, date of certification and signature verifying the representation of this identity.

The client should take this service seriously, because if the certification of the translated document is done poorly, the results will be equally poor. If the USCIS certified translation does not meet the standards of the office, then the translator will be required to submit verification documents along with the translation. This is known as an RFE (request for evidence). This will delay your immigration process, and if you are in an emergency situation, it can lead to more worries.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this particular translation or certification is not something that the client should handle alone. There is a certain protocol that translation agencies are familiar with. The client’s job is to explore their options and find a professional translation agency that can meet their needs as well as the USCIS requirements.
