We Translate Notarial Documents

We Translate Notarial Documents

June 16, 2020

Today we will talk about the sworn translation of notarial documents . There are countless documents that are signed and certified by a notary. When companies make international deals, a sworn translation of the deals is often required.

What is a notarized document?

First of all, it would be necessary to specify what exactly is a notarized document. Well, it is a document delivered before a notary. This gives it maximum legal certainty  and the judges and society in general attribute absolute credibility to the facts or statements that appear in a public deed .

With legal certainty, we mean that they can have guarantees of authenticity and do not require any type of verification or contrast. Finally, another curious feature about this document is that only copies are provided . The original remains in the notary’s office.

Are there different types of notarized document?

Yes, in fact  there are quite a few . However, all of them fall into two large groups: the public deed or the notarial deed.

A public deed is a document that contains legal deals that, as a general rule, involve a movement of assets. The following are examples of public deed:

  • Will
  • Buy and sell
  • Incorporation of commercial companies
  • Declaration of abintestate heirs
  • Marriage contract
  • Mortgage loan

A notarial act , on the other hand, is a document that verifies facts or statements of the interested parties. For example, the one who has done something affirms it and appears before the other party on the date and place. For example:

  • Power
  • Minutes
  • Policy
  • I protest

Sworn translation of notarial documents

You have already seen that there is a large number of notarial documents. These are not only signed between parts of the same country, but more and more agreements are made between foreign companies or between people residing in different countries. In some, or any of these cases, a  sworn translation of the document will be required if it is to be valid in both countries. Our time comes as sworn translators!

It is true that you will have to be well documented on the type of document, because it may not be necessary to carry out its sworn translation. Or, on the contrary, that it even needs to be legalized .
