Certified / Authenticated Translations by Notary Public

Certified / Authenticated Translations by Notary Public

June 16, 2020

A certified translation is appropriate when a document is used for immigration procedures, admission to higher education institutions, or for certain legal or official purposes. In the United States, we certify our translations through a printed statement that the translation is complete and accurate to the best of our knowledge. Some of these institutions require translations authenticated by a notary public. A translation authenticated by a notary public is a translation that is signed and dated by the translator in the presence of a notary public.

Transpanish can provide a certified translation of any document, although certified translations are primarily issued for filing with higher education institutions and authorities in the United States.

Some translations that must be certified:

  • Birth certificates
  • Marriage certificates
  • Death certificates
  • Driver’s licenses
  • Immigration documents
  • Diplomas
  • Divorce orders
  • Wills
  • Criminal record
